Sclerotherapy Workshop: Clinical Precision in the Treatment of Venous Disease
Summary of the Course
The Sclerotherapy Workshop is a hands-on clinical training program designed to teach healthcare professionals the principles and techniques required for safe and effective sclerotherapy treatment. As one of the most widely used treatments for superficial venous disease, sclerotherapy requires precise patient selection, an understanding of venous anatomy, and mastery of injection techniques. This workshop combines theoretical instruction with supervised practical training to help participants develop the procedural confidence necessary to treat reticular and spider veins in an outpatient setting while improving patient outcomes and minimizing complications.
The professional participating in this course will learn to:
- Evaluate patients with venous disease and determine suitability for sclerotherapy
- Select appropriate sclerosant agents and concentrations for different vein types
- Perform liquid and foam sclerotherapy using standardized clinical techniques
- Apply safe injection protocols and procedural preparation methods
- Manage patient comfort and post-treatment care
- Recognize and prevent complications associated with sclerotherapy
- Integrate sclerotherapy into a structured ambulatory venous practice
