To create a place where vein education would not be fragmented, rushed, or limited to a few; a space where knowledge would be delivered in a personalized, clear, practical, and accessible way—respecting the diverse professional and cultural backgrounds of those who wish to dedicate themselves to this specialty. Not only physicians, but the entire vein team: nurses, ultrasound technologists (sonographers), medical assistants, nursing technicians, coding staff, and other allied healthcare professionals working together as one team.

That is how the Institute of Vein Technology (IVT) was founded in Miami—born as a response to a real need within the healthcare system and among medical professionals themselves.

IVT was not created from behind a desk. It emerged from more than 30 years of direct patient care experience, from observing repeated mistakes caused by insufficient training, and from a deep conviction that better medical education inevitably leads to better patient care.

From the beginning, the Institute was built with a clear vision:
Not simply to teach techniques, but to develop strong clinical judgment grounded in scientific evidence and guided by ethical medical practice. To integrate theory with real-world application. To help avoid unnecessary costs and ineffective treatments. And to support physicians and healthcare teams throughout the full learning process.
For this reason, our programs combine solid theoretical instruction, hands-on training, advanced simulation, and learning in high-level environments such as the AdventHealth Nicholson Center—one of the most advanced surgical training facilities in the world.

IVT was also founded with an inclusive and modern perspective. In a diverse and multicultural country like the United States, education should not have barriers. That is why the Institute offers bilingual training (English and Spanish), creating real opportunities for professionals who want to learn deeply and clearly.
