Endovenous Laser Therapy (EVLT): Advanced Training for Minimally Invasive Venous Treatment
Summary of the Course
Endovenous Laser Therapy (EVLT) has become a cornerstone technique in the modern treatment of chronic venous insufficiency and varicose veins. This advanced hands-on training program provides physicians with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to safely perform ultrasound-guided endovenous laser procedures. Conducted in a high-level surgical training environment, the course integrates anatomical education, procedural instruction, and supervised hands-on practice using preserved anatomical specimens. Participants develop technical competence in minimally invasive venous interventions while strengthening clinical confidence and improving patient safety.
The professional participating in this course will learn to:
- Analyze the anatomical structures of the superficial and deep venous systems
- Perform ultrasound-guided venous mapping for treatment planning
- Execute Endovenous Laser Treatment (EVLT) using standardized procedural protocols
- Administer tumescent anesthesia safely during venous procedures
- Operate laser fibers, catheter systems, and endovenous devices
- Recognize anatomical variations and prevent procedural complications
- Integrate minimally invasive venous treatments into outpatient clinical practice
